Funny. I finally get geared enough to be able to kill bosses in t4 in 3 seconds with electric siege,
and suddenly a significant amount of the hostile tone I was facing discussing game issues miraculously subsides…
Specifically, a certain individual and I had a long conversation about what’s currently OP in the game and what needs to be fixed. I suggested they post their ideas to the forum, because they were good, but was told they were ‘too lazy’.
So here are some suggestions that occurred in yesterday’s game discussion.
- Electric siege should drain energy when in use… OR better yet, drain your shield.
This would prevent warping directly under the boss, or into an area of high enemy fire, activating siege, while simultaneously spamming an energy->shield transmuter to stay alive.
- The damage combination of an AWL with high crit chance, and electric siege is CRAZY. There are no clear answers on how to fix this. More electric resist to bosses? Maybe crit damage and chance needs to be lowered on the AWL?
In my case, I rolled a ship with +30% critical damage. So my crits hit +470% damage +50% overall damage from electric siege, +being converted into electric. Which results in 7k crits during siege, and continued ridiculous damage afterwards if I managed to use Weakening Rafale at all.
- Y-link can be just as disgusting if used in place of siege. Damage needs to be looked at.
Please note, these things are my bread and butter. I’m saying they are OP because I use them, and know that they are OP. Something is OP when it ruins the fun of the game for others.
Generally speaking, I believe the purpose of Y-link in my opinion should primarily be to help a player regen their energy and structure constantly.
S-link conversely is shield and structure.
… Not boost their damage to god-like levels.
Personally, I don’t really understand why the links need to increase damage at all if they’re already increasing the fire rate.
