My first MMO was a space game, the next one as well. They made me love sci-fi, the creativity behind space-related games, movies… and the true, beautiful space out there.
When the community of the second MMO I was part of started to act more toxic towards the oldest players (and everyone in general), I started looking for alternatives. Gangs of Space was there.
It took me a bit to learn the different controls, but I ended up loving them. The concept before my eyes was really fun. The developers, even though I rarely got to talk to them, felt like they had a passion… that was slowly dying.
I am young, and because of my age I couldn’t support the game financially when I wanted to.
The two weeks I devoted to the game were an experience I have not forgotten, and it’ll be really hard for me to.
It was hard for me to see the email that led me to this forum thread; the developer’s goodbye to this game.
I’m so sorry it didn’t work.
As a last thing, I’ll take this little space to thank Strega for being such a nice friend, both in-game and on other games. I’ll miss that friend I met in here.
To Erhune & Grouroux, I wish you the best of luck in your lives.
Thank you for making this game a unforgettable experience I had when a game’s community I had been a part of for 5 years turned its back to me.
It made me feel like I wasn’t alone when I needed it. It made me get up and enjoy life a bit more, when it felt it would never be enjoyable again.
Thank you, and see you in another place of space, my friends.
Maybe in Quodecim Vaporis.
